DHS-Drexel-Breaking Through: Clinical Insights into Anti-Social Pesonality Disorder-3/11/26 Online Registration
Description: This workshop dives into the complexities of antisocial personality disorder (ASPD), a condition that affects approximately 3% of the general population and accounts for up to 50% of the prison population. Participants will explore the development of antisocial traits from childhood through adulthood, uncovering the genetic, environmental and psychological factors that contribute to the disorder. The session introduces assessment tools for diagnosing ASPD and provides an overview of treatment approaches used with this population. Attendees will discuss the unique challenges clinicians face when working with individuals exhibiting antisocial behaviors and gain practical strategies to foster engagement with the most difficult cases.
