Description: FLIP IT is a strategy that offers a simple, kind, strength-based, commonsense, and effective four-step process to address children's day-to-day challenging behaviors. The four steps are embodied in the FLIP mnemonic, which stands for Feelings, Limits, Inquiries and Prompts. FLIP IT is nothing new, but transforms best practrice into a strategy that is easy to remember, applicable in a variety of challenging situations, and portable. FLIP IT is designed for use with children, 3 to 8 years old.

The FLIP IT Online Course takes approximately 2.5 hours to complete, including interaction, reflection, application of skils learned, and a final assessment. This course is narrated by the author, so be sure to have speakers/headphones available for this course.

Learning Objectives:

Identify the pre-requisites of FLIP IT success, including having healthy relationships, expressing empathy with children and understanding ICK (risk factors) that contribute to challenging behavior
Summarize the four FLIP IT steps (Feelings, Limits, Inquiries, Prompts) and how they work together to transform challenging behavior

In order to receive continuing education credits at no cost to you for this course:

You must pre-register
You must be a Chester County Provider
You must complete the post-test and evaluation form at the end of the session

You will receive a link to the Devereux Learning Hub and an Enrollment Key Code in your confirmation email

You will be required to sign up in the Devereux Learning Hub and use the Enrollment Key Code to "purchase" the course
