Description:   Students with and without disabilities may engage in problematic behaviors which interfere with learning. This behavior may be disruptive, and in the most severe cases, dangerous to the learner and others around them. This webinar will support participants understanding of problem behavior by providing a framework for examining behavior and identifying relevant intervention strategies. Participants will learn how to recognize the factors that may contribute to episodes of problem behavior and identify appropriate strategies to prevent episodes from happening in the future.

  1. Describe functions of problem behavior
  2. Explain the importance of teaching replacement behaviors
  3. Identify evidence-based strategies to prevent problem behavior
