Description:  Working in the forensic arena can be challenging, and sometimes a struggle. Are you feeling exhausted, depleted, frustrated, or cynical? Stories of pain and trauma while working in a demanding environment puts us at risk for developing symptoms that can negatively impact our professional and personal lives.

Learning Objectives:  By the end of this web-based training, participants will be able to:

  • Define the concepts of compassion fatigue, burnout, and vicarious trauma.
  • Identify potential risk factors.
  • Examine possible protective factors.
  • Apply self-care practices and interventions to ameliorate the negative costs of caring.
